Vo Minh Quang (b.1966) escaped Vietnam with 27 other boat people on 30 July 1990, and arrived in the Philippines on 6 August 1990.  He now lives in Batangas with his Filipino wife and their son, and he earns his living by farming and by fishing on a nearby river.
