Truong Tan Thanh, an Amerasian (b. 1968), sits near his mother and step-father.  He and his family came to the Philippines in June 1992.  His wife and two daughters were repatriated to Vietnam in 1996 after failing to pass the screening for resettlement in the US.  Truong is currently out of work; he and his mother and sick step-father survive with the help of Vietnamese refugees in Manila.  Truong hopes that he will someday be able to resettle in his fatherland, America, and then to reunite his family.
